No, I wasn’t really cancelled — my flight got cancelled and now I’m flying direct to Paris. Kind of a W, actually.
Enjoy any and all typos. Wrote this at the airport.
Outfit
This year, I may have to hire someone to make executive decisions for me when it comes to clothing I’m selling. Whether it was stress leading to making impulsive decisions, or if it was a higher power subconsciously telling me to do this for something better, I almost sold my Y’s Indigo Denim Jacket that I picked up last year in Paris.

For those going to PFW, or if you’re simply just going to Paris this year, I recommend visiting Gaijin Paris. I was taken aback by how good their selection is, with the likes of Y’s/Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons, Kenzo, and Issey making up most of their inventory. My only qualm was their selection of Kenzo — some of it was good, some of it left me with questions. Also, you can’t take any photos in the store, so you can’t ask any of your lifelines if it looks good on you.
It’s entirely on you, brother. Godspeed.
Aside from being a stunning jacket, the additional W was how cheap it was considering the retail price on SSENSE was close to $2,000CAD. Thank you Gaijin, will be seeing you shortly.
Fall/Winter 2025
MM6 brought back the sexiness that that Vogue guy — I forgot his name and I’m too lazy to check right now, but it’s in my previous post — was asking for. We’re still waiting for the sexed-up brands like Margaret Howell to drop their collections, but for now, MM6 has got us hot and bothered with their FW25 collection.
If you’re unfamiliar with MM6, it is the diffusion line of Maison Margiela that’s been active since 1997 (I think), and helmed by a design team that, like their predecessor, choose to remain anonymous. Whether this is to retain the sense of anonymity, while leaving the clothes to speak for themselves and being gender fluid, or if it’s so they can shit-talk without revealing who they are (like me, at times) — I do not know.
Though more affordable and accessible, I haven’t been the biggest fan as their garments can at times look and fit a bit off, along with the MM6 branding being one I’m not very fond of — no offence. They keep slapping it on everything. However, I did enjoy their latest collection, as it was reminiscent of past menswear collections by Martin Margiela (e.g. Fall 2008) as you can see with the overall look, but in particular, the same shades used in the ‘08 collection.
It breathes a bit of new (old) life into menswear today, as it features a kind of raw, edginess through the uses of leather, slimmer cuts and shapes, and even down to their casting choices.
Our Legacy
We’ve yet to see who will take the reigns in menswear, as right now it’s more of a collective of brands that’s pushing, though lightly, it forward. I did, however, mention how there also is this feeling of staleness in retail, with more and more businesses adopting the same brand lists, and beginning to lack in diversity. One of those brands that we’re seeing in almost every shop is Our Legacy.
First, I don’t have any distain for the brand. Both their Spring and Fall collections for 2024 were great, and I’ve used them as inspiration for day-to-day outfits as their styling for each collection is everything I want to achieve. Unfortunately, I don’t share the same sentiment for their Fall 25 collection that just dropped. At least not as strongly as in the past.
Before y’all whip out your pitchforks and come for my ass, I can admit there are standouts in their 60-look collection like looks 6, 8, and 46. As always, the styling is still superb, and the garments are easily wearable, but the overall collection feels repetitive, and truthfully, just classic Our Legacy. Kind of like an evil stepbrother to Lemaire, and occasionally, adopting hints from other trending brands like a Miu Miu (especially look 48).
The fabrics and textures seen in certain looks create this beautifully blended cocktail of an outfit, but still. It could be the lack of sleep over the last few days, but I’m not really feeling it. I mean, it’s alright.
Gotta go board my flight now — see you in Paris!
Thanks for reading!
Your support is greatly appreciated as I continue working towards growing this newsletter and slowly turning it into something bigger. The end goal is to turn this into a publication, featuring interviews with individuals within the fashion realm, covering collections and shows, etc. Maybe we can make it to fashion week - who knows.
My only ask is if you can please like, subscribe and share this post if you found it helpful, fun, or if it just helped pass the time tbh.
As always, thank you for your support. Love ya.
