hello lizards
holy mackarel probably my fav selection of picks so far + a few of my recent outfits, my obsession with comoli - yadda yadda yadda.
A quick public service announcement:
Stop playing the “get it how you live it” song.
Stop fit-checking people and giving them the stink eye. If you like what they’re wearing, maybe drop them a compliment ffs.
Stop asking for ID on pants and check the comments to see if someone’s already answered the question first. I can’t keep replying to the same question.
Thank u for ur time. Back to the action.
Personal Pick-Ups
Y’all, I’ve been acting UP lately.
My closet’s going through a massive overhaul, and though my wallet continues to cry hysterically, I am beginning to feel comfortable with my rotation. Took me 30 years, but by golly, we got it done.
For context, I’ve been selling pieces that left me looking like a building model for someone’s architecture class. It was exhausting having people come up to me asking if comic-con is happening and who I’m dressed up as. Bitch, I’m cosplaying as myself - let me LIVE. (shout out jessica nigri)
Anyway, it’s been a wonderful few weeks as I’ve sold a good chunk of my clothes and have absolutely stocked up on Comoli. God was on my side when I found the Wool Knit Jacket on auctions, as it retails for $1.1K and it was sitting on Yahoo Auctions for just over $200CAD. I’ve also picked up a cashmere sweater and a hoodie from their FW24 collection, so we are fully stocking up.

Next, I might be picking up a pair of Countrys from the Adidas x Song For The Mute collab that’s dropping this Friday (November 15th). Both pairs are nice, but I’ll probably end up with the black & white ones. I’ve noticed that the colour in my wardrobe is quickly being depleted, but I just don’t think I’m a colourful wardrobe kind of guy. I’m a crow caw caw u feel me.
And lastly, Emily picked up two bangin’ pieces by Issey Miyake and Zucca from Commune/Smitheeren. The latter is a pair of reworked Dickies (I think it’s this one), while the former is a classic Issey top. If you’re looking to buy a stellar Christmas gift for your partner, and they’re wanting designer womenswear, I recommend perusing through their website as there are several grails just sitting and waiting for a new home.
Pls adopt a new grail today. Cue the Sarah McLachlan song.
Weekly Picks
Alright, lizards. We’ve got another week of picks, and after doing this for a few weeks now, I can say that this is probably my favourite selection yet. Oh, have y’all seen the Martha Stewart documentary? I think I’m gonna add Martha Stewart to the nightmare blunt rotation now - I’m quite scared.

And that’s all I’ve got for you this week, though I’ve got a few more tricks up my sleeve that I’ll save for next week. Also, SSENSE has started their private sale, so definitely take a peek if you’re looking to spend a few shells to spruce up your wardrobe. If you’re unable to see their sale, let me know what you’re looking at and I can see if it’s on sale.
As always, thank you for your support. It’s been special seeing this project grow and hearing how many people have found this helpful, or have reached out for advice, personal picks, etc.
Appreciate you and see you on Friday. Until then, I will continue to act up.
